Have your education and your baby.

The Need

for something like Baby Steps…

It should be much more common to see pregnant students walking their campuses. Why is this not the case?

Judgment, stigma, and lack of resources leave them feeling isolated and unsupported with no safe place to turn. Simply put:

They do not believe they can have both their education and their baby.

The truth is…

There are college students across the nation that will find out they are pregnant today. These students will not have access to crucial resources like housing, support, or community, leaving them restricted and defined by their circumstances.

Our mission…

To empower pregnant and parenting college students facing an unplanned pregnancy to have their education and their baby by providing housing, community, and support.

the solution…

Baby Steps!

Baby Steps provides a community where Student-Moms are not defined by their circumstances but are empowered to thrive as both mothers and students.

Student-Moms are met with compassion, love, and support, not only from the Baby Steps team but also from their community as a whole.

Baby Steps Hubs are the heart and soul of our organization and how we fulfill our mission. They act as local sites of empowerment located near college campuses, connecting Student-Moms to a network of support. Our Hubs focus on providing resources under our three fundamental pillars: housing, community, and support. We are diligently working to expand, and while we are still in the initial stages, we know this is only the beginning.

Serving Student-Moms, No Strings Attached

At Baby Steps, we believe in empowering Student-Moms without any hidden agenda. We aim to provide a supportive and empowering space for every Student-Mom, regardless of her background, political, or spiritual beliefs. By building trusted relationships -not only with the Student-Moms we serve but with local universities and communities - we are able to effectively reach a historically underserved population in need of support.

Our goal is simple: to bring people together and offer tangible support during a life-changing time.
