Individuals who have reached age 70.5 (72 if he/she did not reach 70.5 before January 1, 2020) are required to take minimum distributions (RMDs) from their IRAs each year. Taking advantage of a qualified charitable distribution to fulfill your RMD can offer tax benefits to you. In order to receive the full tax benefit, if you request that part or all of your RMD to be directed to Baby Steps, please make sure that your donation comes directly to Baby Steps from your IRA holder.
